"Great Archives!! - couple of questions though" , Tue 17 Apr 13:31: post reply

WOW! I am only on #7 of the archived pages and did I already say WOW?? What great information. I've barely had time to take my dog out for a walk because I've been so glued. I am learning TONS.

I did come across a huge posting about the Cafe possibly having a conference this summer... Is this still on the drawing board?? If so I would be very interested in attending. Please let us know if this is going to be a reality.

I have to say, I've had some hesitation with putting the ads in the papers... mostly because I am heading out to the burley bootcamp next week and wanted to get the hands on experience that will be offered. With it only being a week out I think I should put the ads in the paper so that I have some leads when I return. Do you think I should just advertise for motivated sellers or for buyers and sellers both? Should I set up with a voicemail service before I run the add? I would think yes because my cell phone is my only phone. What do you think?

Any and all comments... bring 'em on!

Carlene:

Then I guess I'll see you at Burley's in Phoenix. I'll be leading the Gold Platoon as always. Stop by and say Hi.

Aren't those archives grand?

Yes, we are going to have a conference this year. We will keep everyone posted as the plans fall together.

I agree with Ben that if you are getting ready to go to a boot camp you should get some ads placed so that you can be getting calls as soon as you return.

Don't use a voice mail for sellers. You want the sellers to be able to reach you on their "first try"! Otherwise, the motivated sellers will be calling someone else.

I wouldn't worry about putting an ad in for buyers until you have a house to sell. It will just waste a lot of your time that you could be spending looking for deals. I do advocate keeping a buyers list, but once you have a "real deal" in the paper you will start developing this list. A buyers list grows cold rather quickly.

Get that motivation level up to the max at the boot camp and come home ready to kick some #$%!

Happy Investing!

Knowledge is important but all the knowledge in the world is worthless without action! How many offers did "you" make today?

Great info guys, thanks. I plan to steamroll ahead when I return from the camp. I'd appreciate any and all help your willing to give. I'll be sure to be very specific in my posts so that our time is used wisely.

I will be sure to give the low-down on the camp upon my return.

Carlene,

I would wait until you returned or call ahead and have the add hit the day you get back. I would not use a answering service or voicemail if you can help it. I roll my call from home/office to my cell. Many people will hang up if you are not available when they call.

Since you haven't really started advertising then it would not hurt to wait till you get back. You will also have additional ammo for the phone calls after the Burley Boot Camp.

I wish you well. We would like to get your insight on the Camp when you return.
