Hi everyone, I would like to know what an average day is like for a full time real estate investor. What do you full timers do from the time you get up until you go to bed? I guess this question is also a time managment type question.
For example...The first thing I do in the morning is read the classifieds and call any FSBO ads that look interesting. Then I return all messages from my voice mail and try to set up appointments. I might go put up some bandit signs. Feed my mind by visiting websites such as this.
How would you describe your typical day? Thanks
Tarun

Cheers Tarun:
I want to know that too!!
Seriously it depends on your roles in life. Are you a father, husband, student, etc.. Even though we are full-time the other roles in life affect our daily routines.
I have very little routine besides eating, internet, working-out, and being a husband. In regards to real estate, I let the properties I have or don't have dictate my time. Currently I have 4 houses for sale plus a rehab. So my time is planned around those.. and any marketing efforts I can get to in my spare time.
I don't like anything that takes up my time...especially office administration work, marketing, etc..
Oh yeah, golf is in there too!
Anyhow, I don't live a 'too' structure life.. you never know which rat is off work tomorrow and he may have a tee time for us!

I start my day by planning it....I am a full time rehabber and have been for seven years now.
I love rehabbing, but quite honestly it is my job. It's a good one, I am free to do what I want, but after this long it has become the same old drill. So, my day is composed of finding, arranging financing, arranging the fix up, and marketing of my property. Got it down to a science.
Thanks to this board and the great people involved in it, every moment I have free (after my family) I spend developing passive income via wraps. Most of my time now is spent looking at homes that fit my parameters and making offers. In bed at night, I am reading real estate books or this board. While I drive around, I'm listening to tapes by Joe Arlt and William Bronchick. If you haven't bought Joe Arlt's course or Cash Cow by William Bronchick do so. It't the best money you will ever spend!
To lay the foundation for how to handle your money, please, please, if you never do anything else read Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Get the Cash Flow board game too. You will understand how the "top 10%" handle money and how they got there.
So, in short my day is composed of rehabbing to make money to pay my bills.
My free time is used to learn how to make money work for me to pay my bills.
Hope that helps!
Rob
