Here's a copy of a portion of a post from another popular REI discussion forum I'd like to ask about:

"Another disadvantage of CFD sales is the possibility that you would have to pay taxes on the entire profit of the sale in the year you sold on CFD, even though you would not actually receive this profit until the buyer refinances or otherwise completes the CFD purchase at some time in the future."

So...what do you say? Do YOU have to suck it up to the IRS every year like that on all your CFD deals, or have you worked out some interesting little (and legal!) strategy that you can share?
