"Finally, My Secret Weapon Revealed!" , Fri 15 Sep 14:46 post reply

I finally decided that I would reveal my secret weapon with this group. I call it my Secret Weapon because it is this that has propelled not only my real estate business, but also my life to new heights. Although you may try to copy my Secret Weapon, and you may get close, you can never duplicate it. I am the only one with this Secret Weapon.

My Secret Weapon is the source of my motivation and the source of the majority of our deals. My Secret Weapon works from morning to night for very little compensation. Everyone who ever comes in contact with it holds my Secret Weapon in high regard. The Georgia Real Estate Association even printed a full-page article in their last newsletter regarding a success story of my Secret Weapon.

My Secret Weapon is my wonderful wife Tammy! Without her, I would be lost!

God gave me a great treasure of immense and untold worth, and brought a touch of Heaven to my lifetime here on earth, for he sent me someone wonderful, an Angel from above, when he blessed me with my wife, my friend, my joy and my love, Tammy.

Why am I posting this on Dealmakers?

1) To tell the world how special my wife is, and

2) to remind you that your wife, husband, significant other, and family are instrumental in your success. You just can’t do it without the support of your loved ones. If you are getting flak from your significant other because they think that you are crazy to be getting involved with real estate, or they can’t believe that you are buying “another” classified ad, than I encourage you to take them to a good motivational real estate seminar. They don’t have to get involved with the business, but they do have to believe in the business and believe in you.

Regardless of what kind of lame idea I have (and I have had some stupid ones), Tammy stands behind me. She not only supported our family getting into the real estate biz, but she lit the fire that lifted us from the lifetime wannabe status. She also stood behind me when I walked away from an eighteen-year career to go into creative real estate full time (the rest of my family thought I was a dumb a#$, but guess who’s getting the last laugh).

Make sure that your family stands behind you, and that you stand behind them, and you will have your own Secret Weapon, and many successes!

Happy Investing!
Lynn

"HEY.. YOU took my idea." , Fri 15 Sep 16:24 post reply

LYNN!! Why would you go and take my idea1!???

Seriously, those same words could have been from me. Six years ago, I was just starting another business and I met Anna. She was VERY supportive from the start. She told me the quality she most liked was my ambition. (Hey what about my great hair??) I had the ambition but no bucks! However, she hung in there; she constantly told me how great I was doing and was always there in the rough times. That business did very well the next few years and an old friend decided on buying the business from me! Yes! Success!!

Anna would support me if I decided to sell bottlecaps on the sidewalk. She is so supportive and encouraging.

I have seen most of my friends live with terrible marriages where NEITHER spouse would support each other’s endeavors. They would be jealous of each other's accomplishments or improvements.

One friend from Colorado was telling me how lucky I was regarding Anna. He stated his wife was NOT supporting him in his new business venture that I helped him get into. He was making the $$ however, she didn't support him at all. She constantly tried to tear him down.

I knew then how special it is when you have the support of the ones closest to you. Anna and I are best friends, teammates, and dealmakers! Without her support, I would not have the success or joy in my life.

If you are in a relationship and you're not getting or giving the support necessary. Make some changes.

All I can say to Lynn's post is DITTO!!!

Here's to good friends & great wives!

Cheers,

Dealmaker

P.S. I finally decided to re-read my post before posting it. ugghh... My fingers are cheating my brain out of a few words. Moderators feel free to edit my posts. There are bound to be some mistakes.

P.S.S. Hey Lynn, my was for brownie points!................ JK!!
