So You Want to be a Real Esate Investor?

We hear that you want to be a Real Estate Investor. Do you have what it takes? Are you willing to do what it takes to get to where you want to be? We all have our own unique reasons why we want to be involved in this business. Among the most popular choices are being your own boss and the possibility of financial freedom. What are your reasons? In the beginning, we all start out by acquiring a basic knowledge about this business. As we start to learn, we are information gatherers and we buy books, courses and print off so many articles that we can create a paper trail to the moon.

At some point, we create a fence to sit on, go through all this information, and begin to plan when we’ll actually get out there and look for Motivated Sellers. Believe it or not, it’s at this point, where you have to make your first big business decision. When you take a seat on the fence, you have to decide whether you want to be a fence maker or a Dealmaker! You can either stay on the fence, waiting until you are
“completely comfortable”, before you make your first move, or you can just get off of the fence and take action. If you’re waiting until the spring comes, if you’re waiting until your course comes in the mail or if you’re waiting for something to happen, then your nothing will happen. There’s an Elite group of people that I call “The Real Estate Investing Book Investors” out there that read for months, even years and don’t do anything, except create a larger comfort zone on their fence.

It’s too easy to become a member, because it’s too easy not to take action because of fear. Don’t let this happen to you. We can help! To become successful in this business, you must first accept the fact that you’re going to be uncomfortable at first. You’re also going to be confused, afraid and may even get a little frustrated at times. These are emotions that the best of the best had felt when they started out also. Know that you are not alone with these feelings, and know that you have support from Investors on Dealmakers Café that have been right where you are and felt what you feel.

Unlike other sites, we are not only going to encourage you to get off of the fence, but we are also going give you assignments and motivation that will assist you in doing so. In the beginning, we all need motivation and help- that’s what we offer. Our assignments can range from making phone calls to sellers from your local newspapers, to starting your marketing campaign. This is all accomplished even if you don’t know exactly what to do yet. The best way to learn is by actually doing it. You can read about swimming all day long, but you may drown if you don’t have people that will teach you how to swim. We are here to help you if you’re willing to get off of the fence, fight your fears and take a risk. That’s what I and many others have done, and it has super charged my level of confidence, determination, and desire to succeed. The same will happen to you!
